| CubeMinder lets
companies quickly identify locations within their organizations. They can locate people,
departments, services, other buildings, any physical location within their site.
Provisions are included for descriptions, phone numbers, reports-to, and other fields. If you're looking for the person in I/S who specializes in General Ledger,
SQL server, or EDI, then use Minder's 'specialty' field. You get Dept, Sub Dept and
Specialty, like Accounting/Treasury/Taxes. You can search or sort on any of those fields
and list everybody who matches.
People change locations, whole departments move. This program will
track where they are.
Everyone in the enterprise can use it at no additional charge per
user. It's fully networkable.
The program has several benefits:
- Search on any field for a person, department, phone, e-mail, etc.
- Gives the directions from a central location in text for a "quick find."
- Go to Kinko's and scan your "evacuation" plan or building diagrams. Use it to
find locations with a single click. A blinking square highlights the location.
- Almost nothing is a required field. The program doesn't badger you with any mistakes
you've made. If you don't feel like typing in all the directions or phone numbers, forget
it and do it later. In other words, input is easy.
- Cube Minder uses Microsoft Access databases. Nothing is proprietary. You can use the
data for other purposes if you like. No registry entries either.
- Cube Minder is completely user-maintainable. You don't need a consultant to set it up or
make changes. You've seen fancy internet maps where a hand points to a place, or the whole
location highlights. Well, try and change those coordinates without your consultant's
efforts.
